Standard RC Controller
Xbox Controller – Bluetooth via Bluepad32
Both systems have their strengths:
-RC transmitters and receivers are widely available and have tons of supporting parts
-RC transmitters are preset to handle a wide variety of control methods, and are even customizable within their own software
-ESP32-based receivers allow for unlimited customization. For example we can limit the min and max values of servos and motors, vary the acceleration ramp, map buttons, etc.
-Using Bluepad32, courtesy of Ricardo Quesada (see about page for more), we can use any standard bluetooth gaming controller to control our printed trucks!
