Tires

For whatever reason, tires are maybe the coolest part of any RC truck. I particularly like the real RC rubber tires, but there’s also something to printing Tires. I haven’t found the perfect filament yet, but have had some success with TPU. The TUSK RC drivetrain currently supports 3 wheel & tire options:

  1. RC 7mm HEX axle with M3 bolt, 60-64MM diameter (standard what you’d buy at the store for an 1:18 or 1:24 scale RC truck)
  2. Lego Technic (no we are not affiliated with Lego)
  3. Fully Printed Wheel and TPU Tire (shown assembled and disassembled)

Also included in the base plans are tire fillers, that fit easily into RC truck tries and give the ultimate stability.

Print in TPU and put each half into your rubber RC tire. No need to purchase fillers!
